I tried to get some of that great support I was promised with the Professional version but with no luck.  So I'm trying here the old reliable source.

 

After upgrading from the Community Edition 5.01.01 to Professional Version 5.01.04 the system still thinks its running the community edition but now reports version 5.01.04 (3). 

 

After upgrading, the menu it is reporting:

 

DotNetNuke Product: DotNetNuke Community Edition

DotNetNuke Verion: 05.01.04 (3)

 

 I verified and retried the DotNetNuke_Professional_05.01.04_Upgrade with the same results.

 

DNN Support guy says that I have to active using the drop down menu under host then push “Profession Edition” option.  But as I already stated the system sill thinks its running the Community Edition and no menu option exists to be pushed.

 

I had to summit a picture of the menu option but still no-response after 18hours. I included the picture....

Any ideas?

This is not something I can really help with as I have not used Professional edition, let us know how you get on and how well the support works for DotNetNuke professional.

Symptom: After copying the upgrade files over top of an existing installation and restarting the application you find that the host settings still show as Community Edition. Note: This will only occur when trying to upgrade from Community to the Professional Edition at the same version level. For example: Upgrading Community Edition 5.2.2 to Professional Edition 5.2.2. Resolution: When upgrading from Community to Professional Editions at the same version level (5.2.2 to 5.2.2 as an example), the "typical" upgrade does not get triggered as the system detects the same version is in place. So when moving a site from Community Edition to Professional Edition at the same version level the following steps are required. First copy the upgrade files over top of your existing site and launch the site as normal. The site will still show as Community Edition since the Professional Features need to be installed separately like you would with any new or updated module. To install the Professional bits you navigate to the Host > Extensions page, scroll down to the bottom and click on "Install Available Extensions". In this screen you will see all of the available modules including the "DNNPRO" specific modules. It is suggested to first install just the DNNPRO specific modules so that the system is not trying to install as many modules at one time which could lead to time out issues. Then go back to add additional modules as necessary. After installing the DNNPRO specific modules, when you browse back to the Host - Host Settings page and you will see the version noted as Professional 5.2.2 (or whichever version you are currently updating to at this time).
