I am a total newbie with DNN, and something just threw me off: when creating a new page, and adding the Account Login module to it, the module is totally blank. No "Username" or "Password" fields. However, the default login page works just fine. It seems that the path admin/authentication/login.ascx is working, because when I changed the definition to a different path, it gave me an error message. If anybody could point me in the right direction, that would be greatly appreciated! - Thanks!

That seems odd, does this happen when you are logged out, or when you are logged in?
If it is when you are logged in, make sure that in the admin control panel, Mode is set to "Edit"
Thanks,

Lee, thank you for responding to my post! I truly appreciate it. The blank account login module happens when I am logged in, even when Mode is set to "edit". I still haven't been able to fix the issue. ~Alex

I'm using version 4.9 (that's what GoDaddy installed for me)

ok, I checked this in 4.9.
When Logged in as host, yes the module is blank, when logged out the module content should appear.
You can also set the view permission for this module for regular registered users, go to the modules settings menu / view permissions
Untick Inherit view permissions from page
Tick View permissions for Unauthenticated users
The module will then only display for a user who is logged out

Does that mean if I was logged in as Administrator (and not as host), I would be able to see the content? If not, how would I be able to see it in order to customize/style it? Only when I am logged out (that would make it somewhat more tedious)? Does DNN 5.0 have the same problem? - Thanks!

To see the content, you could open 2 browser windows, one in Firefox and one in IE. Log into your site using one of the browser windows.
I would suggest you make use of the Web Developers Toolbar for Firefox
