I have just reviewed the page templates videos and have had some success with adding new page templetes

I have an intrigung problem.

When I add a new page using the template all appears to be well except. I have 2 modules in my site that are "set" to be on every page. But when I use my new template I get 2 of these modules on every page!

Does anyone have any ideas?

Alternatively does anyone know how to stop the modules being added, simply unchecking the option doesn't seem to stop them being added.

If I could stop them being added then I could build them into my page templates which I am sure is a better solution

If you have a module set to appear on every page, it will appear on every page. That includes pages created with templates. Do you also have the module in the template?

You need to find the original module where you ticked to display on all pages and Untick the settings for that module.

If the module is still added when you create a new page (not a template) you may need to look at your SQL tables and use one of the techniques outlined in this tutorial:
