Hi all,
I am trying to do a mouseover image on one of my pages that requires the following javascript in the head tag. I tried adding this via the advanced page properties, but apparently there is a limit to the amount of data this field could handle because it is getting cut off after I save it.
Does anyone know a way I can get this added to the tag?
Thanks. The code follows...
buttonup = new Image; button1up.src = "/BaseOffBlackBG.jpg";
button1down = new Image; button1down.src = "/BaseRedBlackBG.jpg";
button2down = new Image; button1down.src = "/BaseGreenBlackBG.jpg";
button3down = new Image; button1down.src = "/BaseBlueBlackBG.jpg";
button4down = new Image; button1down.src = "/BaseOrangeBlackBG.jpg";
function MouseOverRoutine(ButtonName)
{
if (ButtonName=="button1") {document.button1.src = button1down.src;}
if (ButtonName=="button2") {document.button2.src = button2down.src;}
if (ButtonName=="button3") {document.button3.src = button3down.src;}
if (ButtonName=="button4") {document.button4.src = button4down.src;}
}
function MouseOutRoutine(ButtonName)
{
if (ButtonName=="button1") {document.button1.src = buttonup.src;}
if (ButtonName=="button2") {document.button2.src = buttonup.src;}
if (ButtonName=="button3") {document.button3.src = buttonup.src;}
if (ButtonName=="button4") {document.button4.src = buttonup.src;}
}

I figured it out by changing up my javascript code and by placing it in the body instead of the header. I would still be interested if anyone knows how to add more code to the head tags then what is allowed in the advanced section of the page setting within DNN.
Thanks,

Thanks for posting the info. - Not sure about adding extra code into the head tags, has anyone else done this?

DNNStuff's new module, Inject Anything, is designed to help here. One of their points on the information page regarding this module says:
"
content can be injected into a number of different page areas including head, after opening body, after opening form, before closing form and before closing body tags"
I've not tried this module, but I have used their Aggregator module. That is a good module, so I would be tempted to try other modules if I needed one.

Thanks Joe,
I may look into this module when I need to do this again. Until then, I will not try to fix what is not broken.
Lee/Joe - This is a great site. Very helpful. And you guys do a great job getting back to those who posted.
Thanks again!
