Hi Lynn,
Earlier you had a question about the width of the registration module, I've found an answer:
I've had a look at the code and discovered it is hard coded to show at a width of 675px.
Here is a solution:
Open your DNN installation files
Go to:
admin folder
users folder
Open the Manage Users.aspx file
On line 49 is this:
<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" summary="User Design Table" border="0" width="675">
Change the 625 px to the width that you require, such as 205px
Remember, when you next do an upgrade, it will overwrite this change, so you will need to keep a note of it and re-do the change if you ever do an upgrade, thanks,

Hi Lee
Thanks for the opportunity of letting me create a new login on your test site:
http://www.audiotuition.com/lynn
I am happy to say that I managed to create a new login first time, without any difficulty at all. It was really quite simple and straight forward.
I don't understand what is going wrong with my site, perhaps the configuration or something, is not quite right.
Thanks again.
Regards
Lynn

I want to let you know you are NOT going crazy.
I had the same problem.
I have 2 skins . . . a 1-column skin and a 2-column skin.
I set the portal and admin skin in the site settings to the 2-column skin.
Then later on I changed the admin portal skin in the site settings to 1-column.
it's set . . but when you go the login page . . .guess what . . 2-column.
Then . .I wondered about that whole "home page to login page" skin link there . . .
so I changed the login page skin to use the 1-column skin . . and I logged out . . .
then logged in . .and guess what . . . the login page now is 1-column
I think there is something . .either cache . . or something's not updating right . . or whatever. . .
but there is something about that home page to login page /admin skin relationship there . . . .
I did create a new page, put the account login module on it . .made it hidden and set the site settings to point to that page as the login page . . . but one problem . . .when you login . . it doesn't redirect you to the home page . . .
Any suggestions on fixing this . . via database or anything like that ?

I found the issue.. . and uh . .it;s a crazy issue . . .
If you do not have a login page set . . . whatever page you are on . . . it will use that skin . . and add the login into the contentpane of that current skin . . .
All DNN is doing is taking the page you are currently on and injecting the login control . . .
So when I was on my home page . . .it has a 2-column skin . .a left pane . . and a right pane . . . when you click on the login page . . .
it's going to use the current page's skin . .and then inject the login form into the content pane of the current skin . . .
This is why my login form was way over on the right . . .
If I went to a 1-column skin . . which only has a content pane with the items centered . . and then I clicked on the login link .. .
well guess what . . my login form gets injected into the content pane . .and it's centered . . .
I was under the assmption that the ADMIN skin chosen in the site settings was the same utilized by the login . . and that's simply not the case . . .
I tested this theory by creating a page that has the content pane . . on the WAY WAY right . . . so when I went to that page . .and clicked on the login link . . guess what . .sure enough . . it injected that login form into that pane . .that was WAY WAY to the right . . .
so . . I guess the best practice is to create a login page . . select the skin you want to use . . MAKE SURE you add the Account Login Module . . . then go to the page's setting and click on "hidden" (that way it doesn't show up in the menu bar).
Crazy huh . . but I just never knew that's how it worked . . . just sharing the info.
