I'd like to host some videos on my DNN portal, but the drive I'm currently installed
on wouldn't hold many.   How can I add them to a usb drive, or other drive (mapped
network drive or url within my lan) and have DNN serve them up?

I guess an alternative would be to move my DotNetNuke folder to that drive, and change
the IIS settings to point to the new location.  I figure that might kill some of the database
settings, but I'm not sure.

Any suggestions on how best to go about this?

There is no reason that you can't place files on another drive, or even another computer. The issue is whether or not the module that serves them up is capable of doing that. And, I don't think that this is an issue with the File Manager, though the File Manager might not be able to show you the files from another drive.

Similarly, if you relocate your web directory and point IIS to the new directory, that shouldn't cause a problem, unless your site is referring to files by absolute path names.

But, I think that there are probably a number of issues to consider before doing something. I would first see if it's possible to put some test files on a different drive and use them with your current configuration.

A few more details probably would be helpful, too. What else can you tell us? Modules in question? How files are refrenced?
