If i am hosting a number of un-connected sites from different clients, is there an advantage in having multiple installs of DNN rather than using mutiple portals from a single install?

It would seem from a performance, security and avaialblility view point having multiple installs would be more sensible as databases arent shared etc. although space is more of an issue.

How do i configure my IIS to direct access to the correct install directories if i am using multiple installs?
