hi..on the video it just says clikc registration and i can see/edit the questions a user has to answer to become a member and can log in to my website
but i cant find that page anywhere that lets me hide or display questions ..and i tested verify and when a new user logs on I should get a email right?

From the "Users" page, you can click the links labelled User Settings and Manage Profile Properties to do this.

There are also third party modules that provide additional flexibility in managing user registration. One of them is from DataSprings and can be purchased from SnowCovered.

so at this point should the user get an email with a verification code?

If you wish  a user to enter a verification code have a look at this tutorial:
DotNetNuke Users & Setting the Registration Options

(basically, go to admin menu / site settings / advanced settings / security settings - select 'verified')

I did everything the videos said but the users never get email. but the stmp is correct and i even tested it ...nothing goes out to the person registered. however i do get an email when someone signs up

Does the email to you go to an outside (that is, outside of your local domain) address?

You can test a DotNetNuke installation's ability to send mail to specific addresses by using the "Bulk Email" or Newsletter entry on your Admin menu. You can send a message to a specific email address, to a group of addresses, or to subsets of your registered users.

This indicates that your email sending is running afoul of some anti-spam efforts. You'll need to talk to whoever runs your SMTP server and verify that you are connecting to it correctly.

What happens if/when you click the link on the host page to test SMPT? I'd guess that the email address to which the host link sends is "internal" to the domain of the SMTP server.

the hosting company said there were 24/7 support but no one reply to me for 6 hours so i have to move my site.
