I am trying to optimize a DNN 4.5.5 website for search engines and one of the challenges that I have found is getting the
tag for the page placed as the first tag after the tag. Currently it is the last tag before the end of the section.
Moving the Title tag up should help tremendously with search engine ranking particularly if it contains keyword rich text.
I hope someone has figured out how to do this!
Thanks,
Frank

One way of improving search engine rankings is to place the
tag as the first tag in the area of the page as it shows it is important and if it contains keywords or phrases, will help with ranking as I understand it.
Almost all (actually ALL) DNN sites I have viewed have the
tag as the last tag in the section instead of the first. When I compare competitor's non-DNN sites for SEO purposes, I see that traditional HTML sites mostly place the
tag first. I think that this is a competitive disadvantage for DNN sites.
BTW, it would be great if there were more SEO content for the DNN platform. Postings I have made on the DNN site have gone unanswered and there is no forum specifically for SEO issues. This is troubling as even if you have a killer DNN site and you cannot optimize it for SEO results, who will know it is there? IMO, SEO should be a first consideration, not a last consideration as it seems to be with DNN now.
Thanks!

So are you enquring for a method to place the main content from the content pane at the top of the source code so that the search engines read this content first?
