does anyone know what stored proc is being used with the user manger (admin/user accounts)?

I'm trying to simply order by LastName in the SQL. I was able to get the front page to work (i think) by putting "ORDER BY U.LastName" in the GetUsersByProfileProperty stored proc but it quits working after you page through the records.

Anyone got a solution for simply making "order by lastname" the default for all in the user manager?

I don't know which stored procedure is used, but I don't recommend changing the core DNN code unless you are prepared to keep a load of patches that you may need to apply in the future when upgrading DNN.

Why not put in a request to the DNN team to have that added as a feature?

I agree with not changing the core DNN code but my client is really struggling with not being able to sort by last name. The portal has over 5,000 users so it's a bit difficult to sort through all the name.

Good call on making the request to the core team. Not sure how to do that but will certainly find out and submit that. I would of thought a sort feature would be common in something like the user manager.

You can submit bugs and requests to the DNN team at dotnetnuke.com. I believe that enhancement requests can be submitted at "report a bug" under the Products menu.

It may be worth checking out the modules at bi4ce, in particular Listx - this may cover what you need to achieve.
