hi, I have two type of membership(roles) in my site, basic one is $10, and golden is $20,  how to deal with if a user already basic role, and want to upgrade to golden role? he just need to pay more $10? how to deal with this case use DNN roles? many thanks.

 

Unfortunately I don't think this is possible in the current subscription setup of DNN.

Basically you need an 'upgrade' security role that you would just allow your basic users to view so that they only have to pay $10 to upgrade, but the current setup only allows you to set the roles to be public accessible or auto assign, there are no facilities for allowing a subscription to be just viewable to certain users.

The only alternative is to use a module from Snowcovered or to manually do the upgrades. - ie. you could set up an upgrade page which links to paypal, once you receive payment, you upgrade their status manually. - You might be able to set this up with a module from snowcovered, but I haven't had a look on snowcovered for any modules that do this.
