Hi,

Below is a segment of html code which is produced for a content pane with only a html/text module in it. If you notice a table is created, by DNN, with a margin-bottom:5px and then a td with a padding:5px. This is causing a problem with my site and I need to set these values to 0px but I don't know how. I hope there is a CSS way of doing this instead of having to actually modify some code somewhere.

I would really appreciate any help you can provide.

You could find the relevant section in your css file and change it from 5px to 0px.

Or you could create a css class (give it a unique name as you wish) and add it to your table:

n.b. Because this forum will not accept code I will use () instead of the curly braces {} below

.zero-margin-padding (margin: 0px; padding: 0px) this will remove all margins and padding

.no-bottom-margin-padding (margin-bottom:0px; padding:0px; ) this is specific to your bottom margin.

or you can split them up.

.no-b-margin (margin-bottom:0px;)
.no-padding (padding:0px;)

You can then add them to the appropriate table as required.

n.b. I will use () instead of <> below.

(table class="zero-margin-padding")

or
(table class="no-bottom-margin-padding" )

Use IE or FF web developer toolbar to help you locate the specific css section if you are unsure of the original class.

I know how to work with CSS. The problem is I do not have access to the table and td tags. They are automatically generated by DNN.

My code didn't show up last time so I will try to post it again.

You don't need "access" to the tags. You change the css associated with them, and you do it in the .css files.

If you look at the code, which you can see if you follow the link to the thread on the dotnetnuke forums listed above, you will see that both of the tags do not have a css class defined in the tag.

Are you sure this code is not coming from your container rather than your skin? - DNN should not just create tables. - Try using one of the transparent containers that come with the free skins on this site to see if that solves the problem.
