Making DNN part of an existing .net 2/c# application

Hi, We have an application that we developed in C#/.net 2.0. For the forum and basic content management we would like to use DNN. How can we install DNN in a sub-folder of the main site? Eg. Our site: www.sample.com and we want to install DNN in www.sample.com/cms. I simply copied the "Website" folder to /cms and created an "application" under the main website in IIS. However it keeps refering to the root web.config and not the one in the /cms folder. Is this the right way to do it? We are able to successfully run DNN as long as we install it the way it is suggested in the documentation. Thanks for your help! Yasir

I'm not quite sure how to approach an answer to your question. My initial thought is that you should make the existing site a subset of a new DNN installation. But, I think that I really need to know some more details of your existing site, and how you want to connect the new DNN site to it.
