Hello again guys,
I'm currently working on a website that will have a rather big web store, so SEO rankings is HUGE for me. I've been working with various modules from third party DNN vendors (DNNgo,Mandeeps) to achieve certain effects on my website.
However, these modules, though functioning correctly on my site, return numerous errors from the WC3 validator service.
I contacted the support services from both modules companies, and they informed me that staying current with the WC3 validator is hard to do for module support, and very unnecessary. They proceeded to tell me that sites such as microsoft.com and google.com return 60-100+ errors on the WC3 validator.
My question is, will having these errors on my webpage lower my SEO rankings? I was under the impression that the google web spiders find errors, and consequently give your site a lower score because of them. Are there any other consequences for having errors on your webpage?
Also, all of the newer browsers do not show any error messages for my website, but viewing the page on IE8 gives me the little warning graphic on the lower left hand side, saying there are errors on the page... Is it possible to correct this?
If you would like to check it out, my webpage is at temp.yandasmpa.com
Thanks again DNN Creative, you guys rock!
Alex

Whether or not W3C compliance is a big factor in SEO seems to be a matter of debate. You can Google for "SEO W3C Compliance" and find quite a bit to read.
Your site does have some javascript errors. Use the developer tools in IE to find them. That's probably more important.

Thanks for the reply Joe. I have done some google'ing on the subject, and your right, it is a very debated topic. I was just curious if the community had any personal insights on the matter.
As for the JS errors, I am by no means a JS programmer, which is why I purchased the modules.
The errors are originating from one or more of these commercially purchased modules. I am able to locate the errors using the developer tools, but I am unable to pin down which modules they are originating from. The idea is to contact their customer support, and have them address the errors. I'm trying to get a hold of my JS buddies for a bit of help, but no luck as of yet.
Is there any source you are aware of I could use to get help with this issue?

I think that the errors were DNNGo errors. So, I'd start with them. I'd suggest that you point them to your site and ask them to diagnose.
