I am a DNN newbie.
I installed http://nivoslider.codeplex.com on my DNN 6 instance, after the install i could not access my site. The error that was reported was:
Could not load file or assembly 'Telerik.Web.UI' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040)

After looking at some forums, that error was related to a Telerik version mismatch.
I edited my web.config and matched the telerik versions.

By doing so, I was able to load up my site again although it doesnt seem to be using any of the CSS and I am also unable to login.

Has anyone got any ideas?

Hi Guys,
After doing a DB restore and resotring the website files, if I try access the site im getting the below error:
DotNetNuke Error

An error has occurred. An error has occurred.

I have checked my connectionstrings in my web.config although it all looks correct.

I don't know anything about that module but ...

If you cannot login you will have to get into the database with SQL Server Management Studio to see if you can learn more details about the error.

If you go to the Desktop Modules folder and delete the folder for the module, that might be enough to get your site operating again. You may need to delete the dll files for the module from the bin directory, too. And, you probably should restore web.config to its original state.

MAKE BACKUPS of the database and the file directory before you do anything else!
