this is imran i am installing one dnn project on my localhost dnn 5.6 getting the following errror

Domain Name Windows XP Does Not Exist In The Database

i have changed portalalias also with localhost/dnn56 and dnn56 is my folder name on root but getting above error following is my connection string in web.config

connectionString="Server=192.168.0.22\sql2005;Database=db_promomadrid_com;User=dbm_promomadrid_com;Pwd=1984"

The domain that you are using in trying to reach the site is not in the PortalAlias table of your database. Where is "Windows XP" referenced?

Without looking it's hard to say what the problem is, but I would start with IIS and how the site is configured.

I don't think that this has anything to do with your database connection string.

but i want to let you know that my httpalias is

localhost/musicpromadrid

my localhost folder name is musicpromadrid on my root so what should be the issue

i rename the folder change database details set the localhost newly still problem is same in other installation also.

can you help me resolve the error.

Which version of Windows is your server running?

Which version of IIS is running?

IIS version is 5.1

windows is Window XP version 2002 service pack 3

I recommend that you review the DotNetNuke installation instructions you will find at http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources...Nuke.aspx.

I think that these instructions cover your installation.

Please make sure, to configure dotnetnuke folder as virtual folder in IIS with ASP.Net installed.

Also, check all of the permissions. ASP.NET needs the following permissions on the root of your web folder:

Read & Execute
List Folder Contents
Read
Write

Network Service requires:

Modify
Read & Execute
List Folder Contents
Read
Write

In the database Network Service requires dbowner permissions on you database
