Automatic Login from Parent Portal to Child portal with different alias

I have a website with the following configuration within same dnn installation 1 parent portal http://intranet.abc.com 3 child portal http://www.abc.com/childportal1 http://www.abc.com/childportal2 http://www.abc.com/childportal3 i assosiate all the users in parent portal to access all the child portals now the porblem is when the user login to parent portal they will never automatically signin to child portals. They have to relogin to access child portal. If i change the alias of child portal to the following http://intrane.abc.com/childportal1 http://intrane.abc.com/childportal2 http://intrane.abc.com/childportal3 then every thing woks fine as intended how can i make sure that abiove problem will be solved with child portal to www address without chaging parent portal alias to intranat??????

Parent and child portals do not share users and content. I don't understand how this should work under any circumstances. Are you, by any chance, using Active Directory?
