I am an experienced asp .net developer (using c# and VS 2008). But I am completely new to the world of CMS. I subscribed to the DNN magazine hoping to get a kick start but I really don't know where to start.

Here are some questions that have been bothering me for a while:

1. Can VS be used to create a DNN website or is it used to create modules only?

2. Can I create an RTL bi-lingual website using resource files?

3. I need to create a page with grids within a grid with button columns n'all. Do I have to create my own module or is something like that already present in DNN?

Any help will be highly appreciated.

1. You don't need any developer tools to create a website with DotNetNuke.

2. I don't have any real experience with RTL sites, but DotNetNuke does support multi-lingual sites. Hopefully, some of our subscribers with RTL experience will speak up and give you advice. But it is more than just resource files. You will also need to skin that supports RTL. A language pack is a collection of resource files that can assist in the process.

3. You should be able to do this by placing an HTML module on the page and inserting the required HTML there.
