I'm trying to update my dnn. I've been going version to version i.e. 5.01 to 5.02, 5.02 to 5.03 etc.

I'm on 5.04 and I tried to go to 5.05. However I just get this page no matter what. It won't do anything and shows no output except the following. Any ideas on how I can fix this?

You might want to try to go directly to 5.6.2.

I've never seen the case where absolutely nothing happens when the upgrade starts. You might want to look through the web directory for log files that have the current date, indicating that they were written during the upgrade process. You'll sort of have to dig, but start in the Providers\DataProviders\SqlDataProvider directory looking for files named XXXX.log.resources.

Ok so I got it to upgrade finally. I had to go to the very next version. 5.04.01, I was at .00. I then tried to upgrade to 6 and got the under construction page. I'm going to try and go to .05 then .06. What a nightmare.

ARGHHHHHH going from 5.04.01 to 5.05.00 gives me the same issue of just hanging. Any ideas on what I can do to resolve this?

This one is hard to diagnose from a distance.

You hopefully will find some error messages in the log files that could give a clue about the problem.

Sure what do you need? Ftp access host admin access? I can give you both, what is your email?

Both host and ftp access would be helpful. So would access to a copy of the database. I would grab a copy and see if I can understand the issues offline.
