URL rewtrite in IIS7 causing postback issues with DNN

Here is the problem. We are trying to remove all .aspx extensions from an IIS 7 website using the URL Rewrite module available from Microsoft (previously in IIS 6 we just used the isapi dll to remove). Is there an easy way to redirect anyone going to mydomain.com to "mydomain.com/default" using the IIS 7 URL rewrite module? Alternatively, is there a way to simply change the rules to ignore "mydomain.com/default.aspx"? I have tried using the condition "(.*)/default.aspx" but it will apply to other pages that end in default.aspx as well. Other ideas would be welcome.

The condition "(.*)/default.aspx" did work - just another example of IE caching strange things... I would still like to redirect the user on landing on the root page to "www.mydomain.com/default" - if anyone knows of a solution, it would be much appreciated! I suppose I could use some kind of script, but I would rather not.
