This is driving me nuts, I can't remember the solution. I am trying to put html code in my text editor relating to a jQuery - but on save the text editor stripped out all code which was not stricly default html format.
I navigated to /Providers/HtmlEditorProviders/Telerik/Config/ConfigDefault.xml and edited
property name="ContentFilters")DefaultFilters(property)to
(property name="ContentFilters")0(property)

This allowed my unconventional html to stay as required - but it added extra unwanted html characters within my own code thus braking the intended jQuery.

How do I prevent the editor from adding it's own code?

Edit using the Basic Text Box editor in Raw mode.

change the text editor to Basic Text box, then click on Raw on the bottom - now update.

This works but it also changes the Text Box editor of all other modules to Basic - Raw which consequently would reversed the coding when I reverted another module back to Rich Text Editor. Until I remembered to also Edit The Custom Editor - to 'Module' setting.

Ooops spoke too soon - I edited another module using Rich text editor - which unfortunatley reversed the 'raw' text on my problem module.

This is far too messy - I think the only option I have would be to put my code in an html file within the site and view it via Iframe.
Unless somebody can suggest another option.

Did you mean to imply that changing the text editor mode when editing another module also caused the text to change in another module that you had edited with Basic Text Box/Raw? That doesn't seem to agree with they way that I understand things.

The choice of the text editor and mode is a value that is shared even when you change it, but it should not change text in other modules. Yes, you will have to reset it to edit other modules and, if you come back to the other module, you will need to remember to change the mode, but it shouldn't be changing the content.

I use that Basic Text Box all of the time to do similar things as you want to do. I don't find problems, other than remembering that i need to change the mode.

More explanation, please.

And,the iframe approach is likely to prove even more troublesome.
