I cant view the folder tree in file manger, any suggestions?

did you create the folders from the back end? I have noticed you need to create the folders using the DNN interface now in order to have them appear in the file manager. Just recreate them in the file manager (you may have to remove the files first) then move the contents into these folders - I assume this is a permissions/security thing.

Also, try checking off recursive and clicking sycronize files. Clearing the site cache may also help.

Third (I apologize if this sounds stupid), did you try expanding the root folder (click on the plus arrow)?

Synchronizing files recursively should rebuild the directory tree inside of the File Manager. There is no need to avoid creating folders either from the server or via ftp, or any other tool that is available. You just have to remember to synchronize.

Thanks for the replies guys, i've tried synchronizing the files including the recursive option with no change. I dont even have the option of clicking the plus arrow as the left hand column is empty.

Are you logged in as an admin when you do this?

Can you see the installation root if you login as host and go to the host's file manager?

I wish that all problems could be solved just by send me an email. I can assure you that I didn't even log into your site until after reading this. Still ... I'm glad that the problem is solved.

Did you perhaps restart the site or the server?

was there a solution for this?

(p.s. when in doubt, stop and start the app pool if possible...)
