Hello All, The way I understand is that if there is no content in a pane then the pane layout is not used so in a 3 col pane if I only have a Text module in the main content pane then is will auto to the far left, correct? Is there a way around that so that the pane layouts are used. My goal is to create a 3 col pane, use a menu in the left pane but leave the other two open for whever the end user wants, modules, text, whatever, but my concern is if they use the Text module than the text will go all the way across the available space, not necessarly giving the look they want. Also is there a way to keep the content size, or a module size from running off the page, causing the user to have to scroll to the right to see all the content. For example if I add a Event module to the right pane it's default size will cause you to have to scroll to the right, instead of auto adjusting to the size available to it, forcing me to have to change the view to List. If there is a tutorial please let me know, I've gone through several but I may missed it.. Thanks, Bob

You will want to take a look at the tutorials on skinning.

If there is a menu on the left, then content in the center pane won't overwrite it.

You can always place a Text/HTML module that contains a blank character in a pane to keep it from collapsing.

There are skins around that have lots of pages and lots of different arrangements. The ones that are unused collapse.

If you do not want an empty pane to collapse, you can do that in the CSS for the pane. Just set a minimum width for it.

Something else to also think about, usually when creating a content pane in the ascx or html it has:

runat="server" visible="false"

This hides the pane until content is added, try not using visible="false" in your skin code.
