Hello, am using DNN 4.9.5 and sorry to bring up an old post but my question is somewhat brought up here:
http://www.dnncreative.com/Forum/ta....aspx#2359
And although similar, my question is just slightly different (I'm not sure I understood the response in the above anyway ... are we saying it can't be done?
Anyway, we (my employer) creates custom DNN modules, which are typically multi-page modules
As an example, we have created a custom User Registration module, whereby the User Name and Password fields are seen on the default page (page 1) along with a link to a Registration page (page 2) which contains all of the other required fields. Page 1 and page 2 are really within the same module though
I'd like to be able to add a text / HTML module (or similar) to page 2, but all of the controls disappear, including being able to see the pane les (ie. top, bottom, left and right pane les disappear, even content le disappears but you can still see the actual content pane)
What I don't understand is why this occurs (possibly well over my head) and ultimately what I am trying to do is add custom text (customizable by my clients) to the bottom of page 2, that is only seen on that page. I might have another page which is 3 pages in total, and my customers want to have custom text on page 2 and then different custom text on page 3
Is there a way this can be achieved in a simple CMS way, rather than manually editing the ascx page? The problem with updating the ascx page is that if we upgrade the module, any changes our clients have made will be lost
Feel free to give me as technical an answer as you like! I can show my developer who may be more likely to understand it
