I would like to create a regular page that contains the Manage Profile module. It is not very clear to a user to click his name once he is logged in to access the default Manage Profile screen. I want to create a page in my menu called "Profile" which takes them to a page which has the Manage Profile control. How is this accomplished?
Thanks,
Paul

You could create such a page, but have it point to the profile page.
The Manage Profile page isn't a normal page, so you will have to fiddle a bit (notice that I haven't worked it out yet) to get it to work, but it will work. You can look at the code in the Register Skin Object. You could also look at Oliver Hine's versions of the skin object that do all of this with links and not javascript. See oliverhine.com for copies.
There are also third-party modules to do this as well. I don't have any particular recommendations, but I do like the one that is part of Active Social. If you aren't using the entire suite, though, it's fairly expensive just for that module.

Hello,
To do this, create a new page named: Profile
Set it so that it is visible in the menu, make sure all users have access to it
(a non-registratered user will see a registration form, a registered user will see their profile)
Add the "Users and Roles" module to the Profile page
This will add several modules to the page, remove the: Security Roles and Users Accounts modules
You should now be just left with the User Account module
A user can edit their profile however they wish, you can change the skin on the page and design it to suit your needs.
It's also then possible to use this page as your main registration page when a user clicks on their username:
Go to the Admin Menu / Site Settings
Advanced Settings / Page Management
User Registration / Profile Page - select the profile page you have created
Hope this helps, thanks,
