Hello there Joe and Lee, Loved your tutorial on the new dnnnavigational system that is implemented by default in DNN 5. My question deals with a css property I couldn't find on either the solpartmenu or the newer navigational menu that comes with DNN 5. This property is a property that allows one to stye the submenus only. You know those menus that drop down when you hover over a main root node. I saw plenty of solutions for style the hover state of a submenu item or perhaps the selected state of such an item but while I found the ability to tweak the CSSNODEROOT as well as CSSNODEHOVER I couldn't find anything that allowed the tweaking of CSSNODESUB. I found the ability to tweak the container that houses the subnodes but not the node itself or the actual text located inside the submenu unless you are hovering over it or have selected it. I have a client who would like the main menu items on the horizontally aligned menu to be bold but when you hover over one of these items would like the drop down to be plainfaced and a little smaller but again I couldn't find a property for this particular request when looking at the DNN documentation on navigational controls so thought maybe you either ran into a solution or perhaps know of one that is intuitive. I know it might be possible to use the web developer toolbar in firefox and find a particular node click it and copy its specific style and than orniment it at will but I need something that could apply to all nodes in the submenu category as it shows before hovering or selecting. Thanks again for your help in this matter, Bo

Hello,
In the Jan issue I will be releasing part 2 of the DNN Nav tutorials. This time we cover DNN Nav V2 which was released with DNN 5.
This version of the Nav Menu allows for much more flexible styling of the menu using the CSS Control option. It is very easy to set up styling for the sub menu using this method.
The tutorial has 11 videos demonstrating how to style a sub menu and even how to create a multicolor menu, how to create an image only menu and how to use the html separators to create a button menu, so it expands a lot on the original NavMenu tutorial.
If you can wait for a few days, the next issue will be released shortly and it will be much easier to explain how to use the new CSS control method by following those vids.
Thanks,
Lee Sykes
