I can log into my site using Firefox but when I do exactly the same with IE8, it seems as if the log in is just ignored. I'm on DNN 5.02.00.
Any suggestions welcome.

Click the button to put IE8 into compatibility mode and see if that works. If it does, you may want to add a meta tag to your site for force IE8 to render that way. |

No luck, I'm afraid. I should add that I can log into the DNN Creative site using IE.

I can login here with IE8. It could be an issue that affects your copy of IE8, but I have no idea what is is. |

Try clearing your browser's cache. (Thanks to Sebastian Leupold for the suggestion.)

Cache cleared but no effect.
It's as if any log-in with IE8 is simply ignored - the site just defaults to the page from which log-in was activated. Interestingly enough if the username is entered incorrectly then it is detected and the appropriate error message displayed. It's only correct log-ins which are accepted and then treated as if they never happened.
I don't have the same problem with other sites.

Did I miss a username/password to try? With an incorrect pair, I do get the correct error message.

Well thanks to you good DNNCreative folks I've now sorted most of the problems. I moved across to advanced DNS management at BT, who hold the domain registration, and set up A records which appear to be working. I can now log in with IE8 and another problem - failure of Google webmaster tools to verify the site - has also disappeared.
My remaining problem is how to get the sitemap to Google, since it expects the address to be in the advertsed domain, not that of the server to which it points. I've tried to use a CNAME record but the BT editor is very limited and I'm not sure I've done it properly.
Anyway, thanks again. You guys are the tops.
