for your sitemap file, can you just upload it to the root of your DNN installation files? and then give Google the URL of http://www.stthomaswatford.org/sitemap.xml

Thanks for the reply. The problem is that Google sees the site as www.stthomaswatford.org the actual address is http://stthomaswatford-org.web25.winsvr.net. The site map is there but google won't accept it from that domain. I've managed to define A records to get over the original frame problem but don't know how to either present the site under the desired name to google or redirect the request for SiteMap.ascx. I'm sure these are all beginner's problems but this is all new to me.

ok I understand now. Usually when you purchase a domain name they give you the option to set the NameServers, when you do this it sends all traffic directly using the domain name to your server. Your hosting provider will give you the info on the Nameservers that you need to enter for your server address in the BT domain name settings.

I use services such as www.godaddy.com, www.reg-123.co.uk for purchasing domain names who provide the Nameserver option.

Unfortunately the BT zone management utility seems very limited and there is no documentation at all. I managed to set the A records successfully but there is no guidance on how set the nameservers. There are three fields; TYPE, which allows A, CNAME, URL and FRAME; KEY is a blank text field; VALUE is another text field for domain name or IP address. If anyone has used the system to set up nameservers I'd be grateful for advice. David L
