I was wondering if anyone could suggest some mail merge modules that we could check out and test? We're using DataSprings Opt In mail product to maintain opt-in mailing lists, and that's working fine, but I've been asked to find a module that will let us import a more sophisticated list and perform a mail merge (the module we're using will only import first name, last name, and email - not any custom-designed fields).

Any ideas?

We actually have several solutions for you in relation to this.

1. Our DNN Email Module - Bulk Emailer has the ability to use tokens for any custom profile data you create in DNN. This way you could import users and data into the DNN user system, including custom profiles items for the additional data you require. Then use a token in the email messages to place that data into your email.

2. We also have a Microsoft CRM 4.0 integration into DNN. This allows you to run custom campaigns from the MS CRM side, using data pulled from your DNN user side. The merging of data from CRM can be custom in any way you like. This however is for the more serious end of town.

Either of these solutions should assist you.

Language packs are used to help create multi-language sites.  All of the static text within DotNetNuke is "localized" which means that the text strings can be set differently for different languages.  Language packs provide those strings for alternate language choices.
