Cannot add new portal or vendor with 4.8 or 5.1

I have a problem with 4.8 and 5.1.1. When I try to add a new portal the “create portal” link does not do anything. The “Create Vendor” link does the same thing (meaning nothing). The page just sets there. I found the problem with a fresh install of 4.8. I thought upgrading might fix the problem, but no luck. I’m not sure if I am missing something on the server side or what the issue may be. Thanks for any help. not sure on this one, the only thing I can think of is to make sure that all of your DotNetNuke installation files have the correct permissions assigned to them. To do this, contact your hosting provider and ask them to reset the correct read and write permissions on your DotNetNuke installation files.
