Hey Guys, I've been creating instances of DNN for a few clients and now have come up with a small issue. Instead of using the "HOST" login I used different names for the superuser account. Now I see the error of my ways (forgetting which is which) is there a way to change the SuperUser login name?

Not easily.

If you can login as the current superuser, you can create another with host as username.

Ok so I can just create a SuperUser account with HOST as login, Correct? I can get into all of these, my concern is that as I go on, I will forget the different superuser logins, this way I keep it clear with the Host account. Thanks.

Also, after I created the "new" superuser account and login as that user, I can Delete the other superuser account. Whodathunkit...

Yes once you have created the new superuser login - check that you can login with it first and that it does have superuser access! - then you can delete the old one without problems. - One thing to bear in mind - when I deleted an old host account it did cause some problems in modules where I had used that account to upload documents etc. - So it maybe best to just leave the old account active and then start using the new account.

rather than using 'host' as the username I would create a username that you will remember and you can use it on all your sites. host is a known username in the dotnetnuke community and could be more open to hackers.

Thanks lee that's what I did and you are correct I didn't use the "host" name (just for this example) And I am still keeping the old Superuser accounts (just in case).
