I set up a role called "Text editor" and gave edit permission to this role in the settings of selected Text/HTML modules throughout the site.
When I log in as a user with the Text Editor role assigned, I can edit only those modules where the container is set to visible.
Modules with invisible containers do not display the down arow or the "edit text" link so there appears to be no way to access the editor.
I searched the forums and did not find this topic - my apologies if it has already been addressed.

Just to clarify - if I login as admin or host, all the Text/HTML modules are editable regardless of whether the container is visible or not (as all the containers are displayed).
The problem is only with users that do not have admin role assigned but do have my Text Editor role.  How do they access the editor on modules where the container is not visible?

yes I can see the same problem when not using a container for non-admin roles, a solution to this is to use a transparent container, if you download any of the free skins that are available on DNN creative they all come with a transparent container. You will be able to to use one of these and adapt them to suit your needs, so it appears to the user as if a container is not used, but actually in the module settings, container is still ticked as enabled.

Thanks for your quick response.  Ok I will use transparent containers.  I am surprised this problem hasn't been flagged before.  Maybe others have discovered this quirk but have figured out for themselves to use transparent containers!
