Hi Lee
Thanks for the reply.
I do currently have the site live and on line, just. I have been under pressure from a relative who expected it to be up and running and fully funtional with a week, from scratch. He has already been handing out the leaflets I made and business cards containing the URL.
Yes it is a pity I have had to loose the Blowery compression utility.
Although it solved the File Manager issue, it has not resolved some of the other problems.
- I am still unable to log in as admin
- Unable to load Speerio/Skinergy access utility tool, skin object
I have since solved the disabled text/html module by inserting missing files into the core.
I solved the hidden menu bar and login skin object caused by creating a CSS skin with z-indexed layers which moved about whilst on line. I needed to rebuid the skin and removing the layers. Not quite as attractive, but at least it is on line. I will tweak it as I go.
I encountered a strange error with the side menu.
I was using the INVENTUA SIDE MENU. , running DNN 4.3.4. .
The side menu works very well, displaying the parent and child as expected and looks impressive in both IE and FF.
However, as I am starting to add new pages and edit the page settings e.g. Page Title "Welcome To The Home Page of www.drivewaydesign.eu, Merseyside's and North West Driveway and Patio Specialist". The is reflected in the menu. In the menu, the word " Home " has gone and replaced by: "Welcome To The Home Page of www.drivewaydesign.eu, Merseyside's and North West, Driveway and Patio Specialist ". Or the word/link " Patio Gallery " has been replaced with "A thumbnail gallery of custom built Patio's" etc.,. As a consequence, all the menu links are lost and the lenght of the side menu increases quite dramatically, it actually looked quite funny.
But in order to keep the menu as intended I am prevented from using the "Page Title" within each page setting, thus reducing SE Optimisation considerabably.
But I think I have found a solution,.
Within the menu setup insert: UseName="True". I hope this help somebody else with a similar issue.
Thanks
Regards
Lynn
