Issue 13- managing profile info

Hi, I just went through your issue 13 about managing the user account/profile. I had already set up a extra category for FavoriteFilm. The registration screen will come up and show that question the first time someone logs back in. The data gets saved, but if the user goes back in to change their favorite film in the manage profile page- the changed data won't be saved. (It won't take when the user hits the update button.) I'm trying to extend the user profile information to be used with the Smart-Thinker user profile module. (I am able to pull the original data out to the ST profile module using [CFavoriteFilm] so I know its there. ) Thank you

I expect that what you are seeing is a caching issue. When you update the profile property, it won't show up immediately. You can force the changes by setting caching time to 0. You might also want to set the Host Settings to no caching as you do your development. When you have things set, you can put the caching back in. If you don't want to do that, going to Host Settings, clearing the cache and restarting the application will force the update. It just so happens that I have been working on a site that uses the Smart-Thinker modules, with some special profile properties. It took me a few hours to figure out what was happening.
