Migrating dnn website version 3.1.1 to 4.8.4

Hi Craig, Actually, I have an existing DNN site version 3.1.1 Should I upgrade to 04.00.00 and then to 04.06.02 and 04.08.04? Is it possible directly upgrade to the latest version ?I am not using any custom modules.

You can certainly try to upgrade directly, but I'd guess that the 3.x to 4.x might be a problem. Whatever you do, make good backups of your web directory and database first. And, I'd suggest that you use these to install a copy on a developmental site to test the conversion process. If you don't have user submitted data, you can then move the converted site back to production, again, keeping good copies of everything. To be on the safe side, I'd recommend that you upgrade your 3.1.1 to 03.02.00 which is the next version and also has 04.00.01. That latter version will get you to ASP.NET version 2. You can then try going directly to 04.08.04, but you might find it easier to go to 04.06.02 first.
