Hello, for some unexpected reason the "File Manger" for my Admin login has stopped working. I have previously signed on as Admin and used the "File Manager" to upload pictures, etc. to my site. However, I cannot use it anymore because it seems to be disabled. I do not remember making any changes that would disable this feature. Any suggestions?
Thanks

Can you describe the symptoms of the File Manager being disabled in more detail? |

The Admin File Manager on one of our sites just quit too. Was working fine an hour ago. Symptoms: Can navigate through the folders and click on files but the only button that works is "Refresh". All the others are greyed out. (Upload, New Folder, Synchronize, etc). Have checked permissions on the folder and restarted the app. I'm logged in as Host. The Host FM works fine. |

The problem appears in both Firefox and IE. |

If something stops working for no good reason, the first thing to do is go to Host Settings and "Restart the Application."

Yep, I did restart the application and then restarted the browsers too. Whatever was causing the problem, the admin file manager was working again this morning. Maybe Java Script caching? |

The Admin file manager has stopped working again.

I assume that restarting the application will cause it to start working again. So, you might want to try upgrading to 5.1.4 or 5.2. |

No, restarting the app has no effect on this problem. It's the same site that's having problems with the recycle bin so we're going to abandon the 5.1.1 instance and migrate to a fresh 5.1.4 install. |

Another site on a completely different server isn't working properly.
DNN 5.1.4
Windows XP
Logged in as host.
Admin and Host pages are using the default install skin and the default install container.
Admin File Manager buttons are grayed out.
Buttons for loading modules are missing.
Recyle Bin Restore/Clean up buttons missing.
Host Portal: Add/Export/Delete Buttons are missing.
Restarted the app.
Cleared the cache.
Tried different skins.

If this was intentional, it was a BAD idea:
If you are in View Mode, some stuff doesn't work (see above). You must be in Edit Mode for all the admin features to work properly. |

That is also the case for editing users and profiles in the User Accounts.
Is this new behavior?

I'm having an identical problem in my DNN portal. I'm running DNN 5.2.0 on a Vista machine. I'm tried restarting the application and looking at the filemanager in edit mode, both to no avail. I'm logged in as host.
I'm unsure whether the issues are related, but I posted another problem with regards to exporting page templates, which also does not work. I'll post a link as soon as the post gets moderated.
Any advice on this?
