Once you have bought your own domain name (ie. www.dnncreative.com) and your hosting package, you need to point your domain name from your domain registrar to your hosting providers’ servers in order to access your web page.

It's important that you do this as soon as possible as it can take 24 to 48 hours for the new settings to take effect across the internet.

In this tutorial we have purchased our domain name using 1&1.com and we are going to point the domain to the serverintellect.com servers.

Note: each domain registrar will adjust the nameserver settings in a slightly different way, but the basic principles that are demonstrated here will apply for all domain registrars.

Firefox Live Bookmarks in DotNetNuke

Some RSS aggregators have the capability of finding an RSS feed on a web page and making it easy for the user to subscribe to it

An example of this can be seen in the Firefox browser, whenever the browser discovers an RSS feed, it displays an orange icon in the bottom right of the browser window.

If you click on the orange Firefox icon it will give you the option to subscribe to the RSS feed.

Adding an RSS Feed to the standard DotNetNuke® RSS News Feed module is an easy process, the confusion begins once you have added the feed and your page doesn’t display in the way you intended. Quite often it displays the actual HTML tags rather than a nicely formatted page.
