My DNN site www.sfcbsa.org does not require a user to login except for a small group. Yet, every visitor tries to login and gets frustrated that they can't! Is there anyway to allow the group that should login yet not entice others to try?

Start by removing the Login and Register links from your skin. If you've set the site to "Private" the Register link will not appear.

Then, decide how difficult you want to make it for the small group to login. You could move the Login link to an inconspicuous location, say in the footer of a page that is not the home page.

If you really want to make it hard, create a special login page that is not included in the menu. Put the login module on that page, and give the URL to the small group. Then, you'll just have to deal with those who can't remember those kinks of things.

You might also want to see where http://yoursite.com/login.aspx lands. If you haven't done anything special, it should land you on the default login page. If that's the case, removing the login link and telling people that URL should be enough.
