Looking for a good calendar/events modules.  The events module that comes with DNN is nice is some respects, but the time and reoccuring entries are not thought out well. 

With DNN events, you must select the time from a prepopulated dropdown.  If the dropdown is populated in 30 minute increments, then you cannot enter a start time for 3:15. 

The reoccuring entries do not allow for exception dates.  For example, your monthly meeting just happens to fall on a holiday.  It would be nice to be able to exclude that holiday and insert an alternate date for the meeting. 

I've searched every DNN site I can think of.  I've found a few "events" modules that have a bazillion bells and whistles but none seem to address the basic problems that the DNN event module has. 

Does anyone know of any good basic calendar modules out there?  I really don't want to write my own!

Just as an aside, is there a way to edit entries in this forum after you post them? After some much needed sleep, I came back to clean up my grammer a bit!

Click the "Edit" link to the right of the message date when reading the message. I think that Lee enabled it.

I did find an events/calendar module from a company called "BigFoot Software" that address my 2 issues above. It seems to work OK so far. I've had a couple of problems with it that I managed to get around. What concerns me is that the "BigFoot" web site hasn't been updated since January 2006. There were 5-6 post in the forum there from last year, but none of them had replies. I'm just wondering if these guys are still in business.

I haven't heard of them till now, so if they are not updating their website then be aware that if you use their module, support is likely to be nill.

I don't know if this module will match your requirements but have you checked out the events module from smart-thinker?
