Hello all,

I am looking to implement a jQuery dialog that pops up on the first visit to a specific page on my site only and when closed does not popup again.

The page in question is my Canada Government Level Selector. I want to add instructions without cluttering the page further (its cluttered already!)

That I can re-purpose, but before I get started I wanted to ask if anyone has seen something similar, that is built into a module?

That seems like a reasonable way to go.

There are modules that can pop up windows. I've used Mandeeps' Live Content module in the past. You can automatically pop up a window when the page is loaded. I recall that you can also limit the popup to one view.

Whoa! $89? That's a bit steep for me, since I only plan on using it on one page and only one of the 7 modules.

Guess I will custom code it.

Ingress my notion is that for a business use, $89 is cheap. And, that wasn't the sole reason for the module.

Since jQueryUI is built into DotNetNuke now, maybe there is something there that you can use.

Also, I discovered that Cocing Staff has a free muddle for doing popups.

These days, jQueryUI is at the top of my thinking. There is so much easy to use goodness there it is difficult to avoid using it.

Once again you have saved the day!
