I have a table within my DNN istallation which my maps module uses to plot locations etc.

Within this table one of the columns is called HTML, my module pulls the data from this column to display information about each location.

Does anyone know if it is possible to create a form which will show the information displayed in this column and allow my users to update the content and submit the new data to update my table.

The scenario is -  My table contains data of scuba diving clubs within england. I want to use the DNN permissions to give the chairman of each club access to the clubs data via a the form i described above and that chairman can then manage and update his clubs data.

I hope i have explained this OK. There maybe a module out there that will achieve this for me already can you please advise if you know of a solution.

I think that you'd probably do better by asking the developers of the Maps module if this is possible.

I've only looked briefly at the module (though I did have the pleasure of seeing a presentation by Kevin Schreiner at a local user group meeting) but I do have a vague memory that there might be a way to get data from something other than a basic database table.

What you need is a bit more complicated, as you need to allow users to edit only the data for which they are responsible. You could do the data input and management with a UDT Module table, giving each user the opportunity to create and edit records, but only their own records. The second part is making this available to the Maps Module. Unfortunately, that's where I get fuzzy on what Maps can do.
