How do I get the 'Created at' data/time in the .csv file?

I selected it for the Display on List and it shows up in the email and in the list, but not in the .csv file for excel. Does anyone know what I need to do to get the created at (time/date) to display in the .csv file?

Does anyone know how I can add the date/time of when a form has been submitted? Then have the submitted date/time exported to the CSV file, along with the rest of the data.

I'm looking for an answer for you. It may be that you need to create another hidden column and copy the Created At field to it.

Just make it not visible. You can then export it. Check the F&L documentation for how to display and or interpret the "ticks."

I'm back on this project. I can't get any of your suggestions to work and export to the excel file (.csv).

First, I tried creating a hidden column in the Data Table Setup by adding a new column and unchecking the Display on List. The only problem is that I didn't know what Type to select and the column shows up on the form. Therefore, I'm not creating the hidden column correctly. Is the Data Table Setup where the hidden column needs to be created?

Second, I believe I found the Hidden Column code in the user guide ([Created at]_UDT_Value & [Created at]_UDT_Ticks), however, I have no idea where it goes. I thought this code was used for the xsl script for the emails. Can it also be used for exporting the CSV file? If so, how?

Thanks for your time on this. I'm better at understanding examples. Please let me know if there is a tutorial or some examples out there that I missed.

I'll have to reconstruct what I did before ...

But ... I think that you want to create a column. If you call it myColumn, I think that you should set the default value to [Created at_UDT_Ticks] that will put the time (in ticks) in the myColumn column. You will then need to convert it to a displayable time. When it is exported, the "ticks" will be exported.

I trying to remember (unsuccessfully right now) what you do to make the ticks display as a datetime. Perhaps cast([Created at_UDT_Ticks] as datetime). I'll try to do this tonight.

I figured out how to use the Export Content, and then convert the xml file to a csv file, which includes the Created at data, plus a lot of other data I don't need. I used a program called Advanced XML Converter to convert the xml file to a csv file. It's an extra step and it doesn't translate as well as the straight CSV export, but it'll do.

Please let me know if you (or anyone) ever find a way to export the Created at data to the CSV file. I went to the DNN's site forum and asked my questions about 2 weeks ago, but I haven't received any replies from the Dev team over there. I'm guessing it must not be possible in this version of F&L.

Well, it works because I did it on a test installation when you first asked. That test system has been redone several times since then and I have deleted what I did then. Haven't had time to try to recreate it.
