I am working in dotnetnuke 6 creating a few custom modules. I have created a Search module and a details module separately. I have seen some places on the web where you use Response.Redirect to go to another module but it does not seem to be working correctly for me. So my question is how do i get from my search to my details page and pass a parameter while doing so?

Your best bet is to use NavigateURL. This is a method in the DotNetNuke framework and has a number of different overloads. Look at the .chm file that you can download for a nice way to browse and search the DotNetNuke namespaces.

Thanks Joe! I actually found that in my research last night, but I am having some issues with it in regards to DNN 6. When i do something like



From my search page it just leads to a blank page when following that link, now in my reading i read that i need to go to the module defenitions and set all that with key names etc. However when i went there (or at least i think i went there! ) in DNN 6 it looked vastly different and had no key value, but had something called a FriendlyName?

I think that "mid" sends you to the edit page for the module.

You should be able to see what is happening by looking at the URL that is generated. Compare that with the one that you know you want as the target.
