http://userdirectory.codeplex.com/ The module User Directory created a grid on the page and retreived the information from the user profiles. I want a module that allows me to show a grid of pictures based on the users in a certain security role. eg, if i have set 50 users with the security role of recruiter then i want to see 50 icons or pictures with there names. any ideas? ideally a free module.

I believe that there is a component of Active Social that will do this. At the moment, Active Social is a commercial product, but will soon be part of the open source DotNetNuke product. So, your two choices are to buy it now or wait until it is integrated into DotNetNuke and is available for free.

You should ask over at ActiveModules.com. The situation is that ActiveModules has been purchased by DotNetNuke and those products are to be included in DotNetNuke "soon." That's likely to happen when 6.1 or 6.2 is released, but I'm not sure what the promises are.

The last time I heard, Active Social will be integrated in to DotNetNuke 6.2 for release during the third quater of 2011 ... but new releases can often be delayed for various reasons. And it will be free. As Joseph said, check over at Active Modules www.activemodules.com for further information.

I just ran across another approach: the DotNetNuke Razor Module. I am attaching a file that I've been playing with if you would like to take a look at it. It's far from finished, and it needs to be customized for your use. I believe that I stole the guts of this from a blog entry written by Joe Brinkman. You might want to search for it at the Blog section on DotNetNuke.com
