Hi,

I'm trying to install the Vendor Module. From what I'm reading online, it should be one of the Available Modules. I'm running 5.5.1. It is not on my list of installed modules. When I look at Host/Extensions, I see the list approximately 24 modules that are available...but Vendors isn't among them.

I didn't originally set up this installation, but it is on my server. I saw another post in this forum that indicated maybe the host never copied the files over. Could that be my problem?

If it is...what do I need to copy to where to make that an available extension.

Do you have a page named Vendors under the Admin menu? The Vendors module should be installed there.

If not, let me know as someone may have deleted it. In that case, I'll let you know what you need to do to install it.

I do have a vendors page under the host/vendors and admin/vendors. Both are blank.

What you need to do is get and "installable" version of the Vendors module and then install it on your site.

The best way that I know to do this is:
1. Download the 5.5.1 Install Package
2. Install a fresh 5.5.1 on a local computer
3. Browse to the site and login as host
4. Go to the Extensions page and locate the Vendors module
5. Click the pencil icon to edit the Vendors module
6. At the bottom of that page, click the "Create Package" link and click the Next links until this is done.

You will find that there is a file called DotNetNuke_DotNetNuke.Vendors_01.00.00_Install.zip (or something similar) in the Install/Module folder of the test DotNetNuke site.

Browse to your live site, go to the Extensions page, and click the link to install a new module. Choose the zip file you just created to install the module.

Now, you should be able to add the Vendors module to the two Vendors pages.
