Hi everyone,
I installed the blog module that come with DNN installation, but the color of the blog modules doesn't match the theme of my site. Especially the Archive module. I want to change it but I only find some styling in the module.css, which I can adjust most of the styling, but I cannot adjust the background color and the text color for the title of the archive calendar(where the name of the month is). Many attributes like the width, or the word for weekdays are nowhere to be found (I want to replace the abbreviation for Sunday, for example, from "Sun" to "S"). Where can I find the file for those settings? I tried the Archive.ascx file but it is not the one I am looking for.
My DNN version: 05.06.01 (238)

Have you set the Module Container to use a container to match your skin? Also have you upgraded to the latest Blog Module 04.01.00?

Ok, here is what happened: I fixed the module.css so that the calendar more or less fit the theme of my site. But there are some styling that are not done in the module.css. I checked the source code using Chrome, and I found that these styling are coded in inline styling. But I cannot locate the source files so that I can remove those codes. These styling shows a border around the calendar and the heading, I want to remove these borders.

Hi there,
I find out that I can override the inline styling using the !important tag for the attributes I want to change. But there is still one more thing that I want to do: I want to replace the abbreviation for the weekdays. Is there any way to accomplish that?
Thanks.

My understanding is that the Blog module uses a calendar control that is part of .NET. So, if you want to customize that controll's appearance you will need to research how it is done in .NET.
I know that's not an answer, but it is a way to start.
What kind of customizing of the day abbreviations do you need?

I am trying to do the same thing - customize my blog module. I am an UBER Nuke newbie. How do I access the module.css file to even start customizing? I need to change the colors on the calendar and change the font of the blog article headings.
I have host log-in access but our website is hosted off our servers. I can't seem to find where the Desktopmodules/ file folders are. File manager is obviously not where they are accessed/edited.
Help!

If you look at the information on the Host Settings page or the Host, Dashboard page you will see the path to the DotNetNuke installation's root directory. The Desktop Modules directory (and all of the others) is there.
Hopefully you also have FTP or Remote Desktop or some control panel access to the files.
