I'm looking for a simple slideshow module. I want to use it on the home page of a church site I'm making to add a few scenes from the church. I just need something pretty basic and easy to install and use. I'm not sure if there's a free one or not. Will somebody recommend something that will do the job?

Take a look at the modules that are available from oliverhine.com and willstrohl.com. Both are free.

I downloaded the Oliver Hine slideshow zip file. Do I add this zip file to my DNN site like any other module?

Also, for the slideshow it says "Optional Slideshow are available via the Cycle or jCarousel Lite jQuery plugins."

I don't know what Cycle, iCarousel Lite or jQuery is. Where or how can I learn how this works?

Yes, install like any other module. As for the optional features, I imagine that Oliver would be happy to tell you how to add them if you were to write to him. (I haven't used the module, so I am not familiar with it. I do know Oliver and he is one of the more respected members of the community.)

I sent him an e-mail through his site a few days ago. Hopefully I'll hear from him soon.

Can you recommend a DNN module that will show video? I want to upload the sermons each week to be viewed online as well as create an archive so people can watch older sermons. I''l just ask here instead of starting another thread.

No. I have had good results with Ultra Media Player. It can handle a variety of formats.

I googled this and couldn't find it. Can you give me a link to it?
