I'm trying to build a projects databse with dnn and I'm searching for the right module to work with.

The module should accomplish the following:
Every user owns several projects. When a user logs to the portal he could see an overview with all his projects. If he likes to see the details he just clicks on one entry and sees all the detail technical information to his project including some pictures.
It should be possible to create a second databasetable which holds n datasets for each project (1:n structure) with - for instance - detailed maintenance reports.

In a second step I'd like to use the data in this database to give the users the permissions to place their database entries with Tokens into other modules. For instance show geographical data in a maps module etc...

I've heard about XMOD or OWS but I'm not quite sure which one is the best to accomplish what I want.

From this description, I'm not aware of any existing modules that fit the bill.

You're going to need a detailed description of the module or modules that you need to create. Both OWS and XMOD, or RAD can provide the tools to do this.
