I'm using FCKEditor 2.6.3 for my users to edit pages. All of the images are stored in a varbinary(Max) field in the database rather than in the file system.
My normal way of displaying an image on custom pages is to set the
ImageUrl='<%#GetURl(DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem,"ImageID").ToString())%>'
Protected Function GetURl(ByVal strImageID As String) As String
Dim strReturl As String = "Image_Display.aspx?pimd=" & strImageID & "&size=Thumbnail" & "&portalid=" & Me.PortalId & "&tabid=" & Me.TabId
Return strReturl
End Function
Is there any way in which I can programatically insert such a dynamic url into the FCK Editor image editor?

When you use the FCK Editor and typically with the Text/HTML module, you need to insert html code. That is not html code. You are trying to do something that runs on the server site. I'm not sure that this is possible. I'd suggest that you ask in the DotNetNuke forums where developers hang out.
If you can convert your images files to files stored in the database via the DotNetNuke File Manager, though, it would be easy.

Thanks Joe, I've found a satisfactory workaround where I position the images in separate div tags from the FCK paragraph, set the Css size and float properties and the FCK paragraph flows round them. Andrew

Could you describe this a bit more? Where to you include code for the images, and how?

In my ItemTemplate I have the following:
ImageUrl='<%# GetURl(DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem,"ImageID_1").ToString())%>' />
ImageUrl='<%# GetURl(DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem,"ImageID_2").ToString())%>' />
<asp:Label ID="SectionContentLabel" runat="server" Text='<%# Eval("SectionContent") %>'>
In my EditTemplate I just have:
<FCKeditorV2:FCKeditor ID="FullDescriptionFCKeditor" runat="server" Width="600px" BasePath="~/fckeditor/" Value='<%# Bind("SectionContent") %>'>
Then I have a separate datalist where the user can change the width, float and padding of each of the images (stored in database). When these are updated the original ItemTemplate is refeshed and the FCK paragraph flows around the images, wherever they are!

Sorry - some of my code has been stripped out as it has probably been identified as malicious - so here it it in plain english!
In the item template I have 2 image tags and one label containing my Content.
In the edit template, I just have an FCKEditor for the content
I then have a separate datalist for the user to be able to amend the width, float and padding of the 2 images. When these settings are saved to the database and the Item Template refreshed, the FCK paragraph flows around the images, wherever they are placed.

Thanks.
(If you have tags in your code, then they will be interpreted as tags and not as text. I usually insert some spaces so tags are not treated as tags.)

Hello,
I can't show images saved in a "database Folder"!
I will try to explain a little more...
My problem is that I can't upload files (images) to the client server where the DNN Site is (for security reasons), i have saved the files directly to the database from the "FileManager", but I have some problems:
What i'm try to do is:
I have created the "Folder database" in the File Manger (i can see the database icon), I insert an image as a file and then i would like to select the image to show as a normal picture in the HTML editor!
Thank you in advace,
Alexandre P.S Im using DNN 05.01.02

If you synchronize the file manager, you should be able to see the images.
