object reference not set Error loading Blog module to a page

Hi, I deleted and reloaded the blog module. But now, when I try to add the module to my page, I am getting this error ? Hmmm, the error is actually referring to a method within SolPart Menu. You might want to try creating a new page and then see if you can add the blog module there.

Hi Craig Yep, I tried that as well. I saw a post about this and added this " ProviderName="DNNMenuNavigationProvider" " to my dnnAction tags in my ascx files for the 4 XDNewBlue skin files (which is the skin I am using), and it came up without the object reference error. Problem now is that the action menu on the "View_Blog" section of my Blog module appears up in the "common tasks" area of the page, and, the options look blotchy ? It happens on both pages with the new blog - I am using dnn 5.1.2 and the blog module is 3.5.1. Have you heard of this ? I enclosed a screen shot thanks for getting back

Since you are using a custom skin, my next suggestion would be to switch the site temporarily to use the Minimal Extropy skin. Does the problem exist with that skin as well?

Hi Joseph, Well, after trying the default skin, the action menu is STILL not in the right place. So, it wasnt the skin. It looks like 3.5.1 is the latest blog for .NET 3.5 ? I looked here ... http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Developme...fault.aspx and I see that " Requires asp.net 2.0 " on what looks like the latest blogs ? does that mean that you cannot use them with 3.5 ? thanks again
